Mirror reflection of a wedding photographer taking photo of bride at Burton Hall in Warwickshire

let me tell you mine..

This is my dream job! when I was a kid, you'd find me with a camera in hand documenting all of my family holidays - now, you’ll find me at the end of the aisle capturing the very first moment you and your partner say ‘I do’, to your guests dancing the night away from the most magical day of your lives.

My dedication to my clients extends to being your hype women if the pre-wedding nerves start to kick in, timekeeping to ensure you get all of those special shots, and overall looking out for any outfit, hair or makeup malfunctions that may have happen throughout the day. I even helped a bride of mine sew her dress back together after one of the straps had snapped. The bride looked at me in pure panic and said ‘what do I do?’ I acted fast and got my sewing kit out that I keep with me just in case of an emergency like this!

Moments like these really remind me of the importance of going above and beyond for my clients. It’s hard to think of yourself as ‘just’ as a photographer when you’re one of the people who spend the most time with the couple on their wedding. Because of this close bond I form with my couples throughout the day, clients feel comfortable to ask for tips regarding poses, confide in me about their worries, and guest dynamics which overall gives me a deeper insight into how I can create the perfect album for them.

Outside of weddings...

....

I’m an avid traveler and animal lover. One of my favorite travel memories is a three-day boat expedition in Indonesia, where a pod of dolphins swam alongside our boat in bioluminescent waters, glowing magically under a starry night sky- it was absolutely breathtaking. At home, I enjoy a quieter life, spending cozy evenings with my pet rabbit, Misty, curled up on my lap while I watch telly.

We’re awkward in front of the camera… will that be a problem?

Absolutely not. Most couples tell me this, and by the end they’re shocked at how relaxed they felt. I don’t do stiff, forced posing. Instead, I guide you with simple prompts that help you interact with each other naturally—think movement, laughter, quiet moments. You don’t need to “perform.” Just be yourselves, and I’ll do the rest.

What happens if it rains?

We embrace it. Honestly, some of my favourite images have happened on rainy days - there’s something incredibly romantic and cinematic about the atmosphere it creates. I always come prepared with backups, clear umbrellas, and plenty of creative ideas to make the most of whatever the sky gives us.

And if we end up heading indoors, no stress at all, my cameras thrive in low light and I always carry flash, so we can create gorgeous, atmospheric images inside too. Whatever the weather does, your photos will still be beautiful.

What questions will you ask us when we first start working together?

It’s really important for me to build a genuine relationship with my clients. I want to tell their story in a way that feels uniquely them, so I always start by asking what aspects of their day matter most. This helps me focus on capturing the moments that truly hold meaning for them.

I’ll also ask how comfortable they feel in front of the camera. Do they prefer natural, documentary-style photos where I gently guide them with prompts to help them relax? Or do they love more posed, structured images? Understanding this helps me tailor the experience so they feel at ease and confident.

Beyond the logistics, I like to get a sense of who they are as a couple—their interests, their vibe, and what they find fun. Building that connection allows me to photograph them in a way that feels authentic and natural.

Do you travel?

Absolutely—whether your wedding is five minutes away or halfway across the world. I adore photographing new places and weaving your story into the environment. Just tell me where, and I’ll pack my bags.

Do you help with planning or posing on the day?

Yes! I’m a photographer, but I’m also a timeline-tweaker, dress-fluffer, bouquet-rescuer, and calm presence when the day gets chaotic. I’ll help guide you when needed but I’ll never overtake the flow of your day. I’m there to support you and make sure you look and feel amazing without ever interrupting the magic.

What’s your approach to photographing a wedding?

I’m all about connection. Before I ever pick up a camera, I like to get to know you as humans—what makes you laugh, what calms you, what moments matter most. My photography leans towards natural, storytelling imagery with gentle guidance when you need it, but mostly I want you to forget the camera is even there. My goal? For you to look back at your gallery and feel your day all over again.

Do you offer engagement shoots?

Yes, and I absolutely recommend them! It’s the perfect warm-up before the big day. We get to hang out, chat, and take photos in a relaxed environment so that when your wedding day comes, you’re able to simply be yourselves and enjoy every moment.

There’s also so much room for creativity. Whether it’s a dog walk, wandering around an art gallery, exploring dramatic landscapes in the Peak District, or grabbing coffee in your favourite café—anything goes. Let’s make it unique and special to you, and most importantly, make sure you’re having fun.

How long until we get our photos?

I know how excited couples are to relive their day, so I send a sneak peek within a few days. Your full gallery is typically delivered within 8 weeks. Every image is lovingly edited by me—nothing rushed, everything intentional.

Why should we choose you?

Because I care deeply. Not just about pretty photos, but about you feeling safe, seen, and celebrated. I want to give you images that feel like memories—not poses. If you’re looking for a photographer who invests in your story, who blends into your day like a friend, and who captures the big moments and the quiet, fleeting ones… we’ll be a great fit.
